Note that the urethral orifice lies just posterior to the glans clitoris. This anatomical relationship is a key landmark during urinary catheterization in female patients.

Deep part: encircles the superior part of the anal canal and blends with the puborectalis portion of the levator ani. Superficial part: attaches anteriorly to the perineal body and posteriorly to the coccyx by the anococcygeal ligament. Subcutaneous part: the most superficial portion, encircling the anal opening just beneath the skin. Identify them in the MPR window. ![]() |
