Using the Highlight tool, identify each thoracic vertebra one by one, noting its orientation and anatomical relationships on the transverse, sagittal, and coronal cross-sections.

As you explore each plane, add that cross-section to the 3D model and remove the prior. The transverse plane is already visible to start you on this path!

	The anterior diaphragm attaches to the xyphoid process at what thoracic vertebral level?
Typically, the xiphisternal joint (and thus its muscle attachments) are around the T9 vertebral level.

	At what vertebral levels does the diaphragm attach to the vertebral bodies?
Typically, the right crus attaches to the L1-L3 lumbar vertebral bodies and the left crus attaches to L1-L2.

Compare the differences of the cervical and thoracic vertebrae.
