Ligaments
🔍 Ligaments
Add the epiglottis and note the hyo-epiglottic ligament that attaches the epiglottis to the hyoid bone.

What is the function of the epiglottis?

There are three areas of the larynx:
  • The laryngeal cavity above the vestibular ligaments forms the vestibule.
  • The middle cavity is the very thin area between the vestibular ligments and the vocal ligaments.
  • The infraglottic space is below the vocal ligaments to where the trachea begins.

Using the Draw tool and the 3D rendering, identify these areas.
