Add the Lumbricles (1st one) muscle.

Origin - Medial side of the first tendon (to the 2nd toe) of FDL

Insertion - Passes along the medial side of the 2nd toe and inserts on its dorsal digital expansion

Innervation - Medial plantar nerve (S2,S3)

Action - Flexes the proximal phalanx of the 2nd toe at the MTP joint. Extends the other two joints of the 2nd toe

Add the 2-4 Lumbricals muscles.

Origin - By heads from the adjacent FDL tendons 3, 4, 5

Insertion - Medial sides of the 3, 4, 5 toes to their respective dorsal digital expansions

Innervation - All three by the lateral plantar nerve (S2,S3)

Action - Same as the first except with respect to their own toe

Add the Quadratus Plantae muscle.

Origin - Plantar surface of the calcaneous, long plantar ligament

Insertion - Lateral and deep surfaces of the tendons of the flexor digitorum longus muscle

Innervation - Lateral Plantar Nerve (S2,S3)

Action - Assists the flexor digitorum longus by straightening the pull of FDL along the longitudinal axis of the foot

Add the Tendon of Flexor Digitorum Longus .
Add the Tendon of the Flexor Hallicus Longus .
